The Brief
In 2025, LIV Golf sought a high-energy, culturally immersive opening to set the stage for their tournaments at the Hong Kong Golf Club and Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore. The goal was to create a performance that balanced local heritage with the high-octane adrenaline of professional golf. Following this success, we were commissioned in 2026 to produce a site-specific opening for the LIV Golf Launch Party at the iconic M+ Museum. This required a sophisticated, artistic approach tailored to one of Asia’s most prestigious cultural landmarks.

The Approach
For the 2025 tournament legs, our strategy focused on capturing the unique "soul" of Hong Kong and Singapore through vibrant color and movement. Since these shows were both live and broadcast globally, they had to be visually striking and durable enough for three consecutive days on grass. In 2026, the approach evolved to match the architectural grandeur of the M+ Museum. We designed a contemporary performance that utilized the museum’s grand staircase, blending artistic expression with a bold, modern aesthetic.

The Execution
LIV Golf Hong Kong & Singapore 2025
For Hong Kong, we delivered an explosive fusion of traditional Chinese lion dance and modern parasol choreography—reimagining heritage with high-speed energy. In Singapore, we choreographed a modern cultural dance that celebrated the city-state's diverse influences. Both performances were meticulously timed for live broadcast, ensuring maximum impact for both the gallery fans and home viewers throughout the three-day event.

LIV Golf Launch Party, M+ Museum 2026
The M+ performance was a dramatic two-act showcase. The first act featured dancers in flowing crimson fabrics cascading down the grand stairs—a quirky, bold, and "artsy" visual statement. The second act shifted to high-intensity acrobatics and contemporary dance, featuring jaw-dropping throws and poses that utilized the verticality of the space to leave the audience speechless.
