The Brief
As one of Macau’s premier integrated resorts, City of Dreams sought a high-impact entrance activation to drive foot traffic and increase property visibility. The objective was to create a "stop-and-watch" spectacle—an outdoor performance so visually arresting that it would transform the resort entrance into a primary destination for tourists and locals alike.

The Approach
To deliver a truly unique experience, we proposed an acrobatic and dance showcase centered around 5-metre-high performing sway poles. This technically demanding format offered the vertical scale needed to command attention in a crowded landscape. The initial launch was so successful that the residency was extended twice—covering the Christmas and Chinese New Year seasons—requiring us to produce three entirely different shows with bespoke costumes, music, and choreography for each.

Execution
We developed "Symphony of Blooms," a surreal, oversized floral world inspired by an Alice in Wonderland aesthetic.

  • The Set: Each sway pole was integrated into a custom 6-metre-high platform of giant, colorful flowers, designed to withstand Macau’s outdoor elements, including typhoons and thunderstorms.

  • The Performance: Each 30-minute show featured high-energy dance numbers and gravity-defying sway pole acrobatics, concluding with an interactive finale where performers engaged with the crowd for photos and gift-giving.

  • Operations: BPM provided full technical stage management, overseeing the daily assembly of specialized acrobatic equipment and managing a comprehensive weather contingency plan to ensure safety and performance quality.

  • Seasonal Reimagining: For the festive extensions, we overhauled the production with new set elements and thematic choreography, giving repeat visitors a fresh reason to return to the property.

The Impact
"Symphony of Blooms" successfully evolved from a simple entrance activation into one of Macau’s must-see attractions. By delivering a high-caliber outdoor spectacle, we helped City of Dreams capture significant foot traffic across three consecutive seasons, proving the power of large-scale, immersive entertainment in driving resort engagement.
